Re-Telling Superman's Origin

This Spring DC comics will release a series retelling the origin of Superman. It is the 3rd effort in the past 23 years, but will establish a post Infinite Crisis baseline of the Man of Steel. I think you'll enjoy it.

Did they turn the Krypton rocket into a grain silo? That's pretty sweet.

That's, uhmmm... that's Legion of Super-Heroes HQ (in the 31st century... it's complicated). And it's not the Krypton rocket, it's... a building that looks like a rocket.

I think you're going to have to read this thing because explaining it makes you sound like a crazy person.

Strange, direct reference to Superboy. From my knowledge, the lawsuit hasn't settled yet. I guess even the Copyright Act can't keep Geoff Johns down.

They may just call him "Kal-El" during that period. I really can't guess, becaue I had the same thought.

I doubt its true, but I have this fantasy that maybe this signals some accord has been reached between the Siegels and DC. All stand to benefit from a new deal. It's unfortunate that suits seem to be missing the forest for the trees in pinching every Super-penny and not finding an out of court settlement.

That said, I still don't see how any person who actually took the time to READ the comics in question bought the notion that Superboy and Superman were two mutually distinct characters. But if it gets the Siegels a piece they feel they can live with, maybe this is okay.

I'm just glad to see Perry enjoying the stogies. Tobacco in popular culture is a rare thing anymore (but it still makes you cool, kids!)
