I recall complaints 5 years ago or so. I had not heard of anything recent and was surprised to see the story.
I'm also not going to condemn an entire organization of several decades for what a few bad apples do. But having lived in Texas and Houston, I'm not too shocked to hear about this sort of nonsense. Doesn't mean it doesn't get my hackles up, but you come to expect it after a while. (I live in Texas. I'd hate to have anyone judge me by what many of us Texans do.).
I understand and appreciate the complaint, and I hope that you can consider Heifer International if you've a few dollars to spare.
