In Dallas, rockin' your face off

I'm in Dallas. Today's workday was okay but weird.

Not much to report other than that I finally went to a Starbucks to use their free wi-fi, and it wasn't free. I wound up paying $4 to use the internet. And while I felt I needed to use the internet, I was somehow maybe a little offended that it cost me money. This hotel isn't charging me for internet. I was always under the impression Starbuck's wi-fi was free... and yet... maybe I was wrong? That seems impossible.

Anyway, no big worries, but it messes with how I think of my access to technology and what I will and will not pay for.

It sounds like Jamie had her hands full with Cassidy last night. I'm usually the one who is up and down with Cassidy at night her first night at the house. I don't mind. She's so spunky when she wakes me up, its sort of jolly.

I'm off to work some and read. Have a good night.

I leave you with the ROLCats

And, apropos of nothing... a DITMTLOD Microburst:

Juliet on ABC's Lost is just a good idea all the way around.

As a "carry my laptop everywhere" kind of guy, I can tell you free wifi is like trying to pin down plastic man. Ever changing.

Well, last time I used Starbucks wi-fi (I was trapped there for 5 hours and was also under the impression it would be free) it was $10, so it sounds like they've at least lowered the price. Still doesn't make it right.

Get yourself one of those Starbucks reward cards and register it online. With the card you get 2 free hours of wifi per day. This has been invaluable for me when I need internet on the go. I know for a fact it works in the USA and Canada.

Juliet... meh...

She's far cooler than Kate.... much more squirrely of a character, hard to pin down... and mature.

I also liked Charlotte, but as established by one of the League's prior surveys, that may be because she has red hair.

Incidentally, last night's episode was great. Full of character development for Sawyer.

With all of the stuff that's already happened on that show, I really don't get how they're supposed to be squeezing several more seasons out of these characters. The plotline is going to get (some might argue that it already has been) twisted and entangled to the point of absurdity.

Maybe it's because I only follow two TV shows that I can hold all that stuff in my brain and it makes some sense to me.

@Jason Lost is only going to run for 6 seasons in total. That means one more season after the current to tie everything up. In addition the number of episodes per season has been cut back to 16 from the regular 22 for an hour long drama. This means as of today there are only 23 more episodes in total (rest of season 5 and all of season 6) to tie everything up.

By the way, shouldn't Juliet be filed under DITMTLD rather than DITMTLOD?

If I start a DITMTLD column, then I need to start one called DITMTL May One Day Dig. And my future-looking machine is broke.
