Der Batpod
More interesting stuff coming out from the new Batman flick. Looks like how the last film's Batmobile was ostensibly a car, this must be a Batman moped.
Also, I just remembered that Maggie Gyllenhaal is in the upcoming film. I know Gyllenhaal is one of those polarizing forces for dudes... She's just not everybody's cup of tea. But I come down on the pro-Maggie side of the fence.
Viva la Gyllenhaal. And the Batpod.
Gyllenhaal is a great actress. No doubt about it. Best of all, she picks good material (for the most part). I'm not sure how civil she would be to me if she and I argued about politics, though.
ReplyDeleteWell, should that day come, hopefully you'll both remain polite. I think of her generation, she's one of three or four we'll still see in twenty years.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. Have you seen Sherrybaby?
ReplyDeleteNot yet. I've heard good things.
ReplyDeleteShe's a decent actress, but she doesn't live up to the hype.
ReplyDeleteShe pee-peed in a wedding dress in a chair on film. Pure cinematic gold.
ReplyDeleteShe's definitely better than most of the actresses her age out there. She picks some pretty risky material, too. Not unlike Winslet in the mid to late 1990s.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't remember who this Maggie Gyllenhaal cat was, so I googled her. The 3 pictures that showed up at the top of the page...she's not wearing a bra.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what that means, neither do I have a comment on it nor an opinion. Just an observation.
Interestingly enough, when you google my name, all you get is links to how bad ass a financial wizard, leader and kick as board member is this Jeffrey Peek guy, who apparently is 10 times more newsworthy than I am. And there were no pictures to indicate if he wears bras or not. Or is it bro ? Or manzere ?
Peabo
Bats v. Ma Kent?
ReplyDeleteNobody can beat Ma Kent's rhubarb pie at the county fair. Not even Batman.
ReplyDeletePeabo, here at The League we salute the ladies who feel free to go sans bra.
I'm a fan of Maggie Gyllenhaal, even if it took me a while to figure out how to spell her name. She's a smart actress. JMD made a good observation with the Winslet comparison. Plus I met her briefly once and she was cool even though I was a nobody.
ReplyDeleteThe only real question about Maggie is "How the heck do you say her last name"?
ReplyDeleteAnd after "Secretary", I was hooked. She was also stunning in Stranger Than Fiction.
Firstly, Maxwell, YOU ARE NOT A NOBODY!!! YOU ARE MAXWELL!!! (hey. how's the kid?)
ReplyDeleteI really need to see Sherrybaby. People say really good things about her in that movie.
I choose to pronounce her last name "Jill-Fram-Franker". And, yes, I liked her in what I've seen of Secretary (about 2/3rds on cable) and Stranger than Fiction.
She was quite good in "Stranger Than Fiction." Not bad at all.
ReplyDeleteI think the League should review Sherrybaby.
