Stray Thought of the Day: Sperm Whales are weird looking

I think Sperm Whales look like both a prototypical whale, like is someone asked you to draw a whale... it would be a sperm whale. But, they look weird. They're big, and chubby looking and pale and have a huge forehead.

Something like yours truly, when I think of it.

sperm whales have a weird, skinny bottom jaw with very scary teeth. Also, it seems, like yours truly.

Sperm whales are cool. Apparently they dive REALLY deep and stay under water a long time, and, perhaps most importantly, they have vicious underwater battles with giant squid, which they sometimes eat and which they locate through echolocation. Sperm whales don't just cruise around filtering their food out of the ocean like the slackerish blue whale. Sperm whales gotta go kick some giant squids ass to put food on the table.

Indeed! Just like me!

I think its safe to say I have a healthy respect for the might of the sperm whale.

In fact, I plan to begin searching for this one, particular whale, whether it gets me and my whole ship's crew killed...

I'm not sure you're ready for a "man against nature" type of quest. I don't mean to discourage you, but remember that time the big bug scared you in Costa Rica?

Bugs are scary. And that bug was particularly @#$%ing scary. It wanted to bite me. or live in my ear or something.

And I'm still having problems with the damn urethra fish that I picked up during my dip in that cloud forest river.

Steanso, you and my kid need to get together and talk whales. Y'all are on the same page with the echolocation, giant squid consumption talk.

You should take him on a whale watching trip as soon as possible.

Or else begin importing whales to K-Zoo.

Umm. Yeah, I think our pool would hold a whale.
We're trying to figure out a place to go for spring break next year where we can see whales.
